Termsof use.

These terms are between you and Gymsss (“we”, “us”), the operator of Gymsss.com and everything served from it. Using the site means you accept them. If you do not, the right course is simply not to use it.

They are written to be read. Where a sentence could be short and plain, it is — that is a deliberate choice, not an absence of legal effect.

Gymsss is an editorial directory: an index of gyms, athletic clubs, studios, events, apps and athleisure labels, with our own descriptions of them.

It is not any of the following, and does not act as any of them:

• a booking, reservation or membership service;
• an agent, broker or representative of any club, brand or organiser;
• a party to any contract you enter into with one;
• a provider of medical, health, nutritional or training advice.

Everything you buy, join, enter or attend, you do directly with that business, on their terms.

You may read, search, link to and share anything here freely, for yourself or for your business. That is what it is for.

You may not:

• scrape, crawl or bulk-extract the index, or reproduce a substantial part of it, to build or feed a competing directory or dataset;
• present our descriptions, ratings or rankings as your own, or as an endorsement we have not given;
• submit listings, enquiries or content you have no right to submit, or that are false, defamatory or designed to mislead;
• interfere with the site’s operation, security or availability, or attempt to reach any part of it you have not been given access to.

Anyone can submit a club through our form. Submitting one is free, and being listed is free.

By submitting, you confirm you are entitled to provide the information and any images you send, and you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish, edit, translate and display them on Gymsss and in material promoting it. You keep ownership of everything you send.

We review every submission by hand, and we may publish it, edit it for accuracy or house style, decline it, or remove it later — without being obliged to give a reason. Being submitted is not being listed, and being listed is not permanent.

If you are the operator of a listed business and something on your page is wrong, write to concierge@gymsss.com and we will correct it. If you want the listing removed entirely, say so and we will remove it.

Nobody pays for placement. No club, brand, organiser or developer can buy a listing, a position in results, a badge, or a more favourable write-up. Where we ever earn a commission on something, it will be labelled on the page it appears on.

Ratings, rankings and descriptions are our editorial opinion, formed from visits, operator information and publicly available sources. They are honestly held and not statements of fact.

Details change constantly — prices, opening hours, class timetables, equipment, ownership, whether a club still exists. We keep the index as current as we can, but you should confirm anything that matters to you with the business itself before travelling, paying or committing.

Where the site lets you send an enquiry to a club, we pass your message and contact details to that club so they can reply. What happens after that is between the two of you — we do not guarantee a response, and we are not responsible for what is said or offered.

How that information is handled is set out in our privacy policy.

The index links out constantly — to clubs, event organisers, app stores, brands and social profiles. Those destinations are not ours. We do not control them, we do not vet them continuously, and we are not responsible for their content, their products, their terms or their handling of your data. A link is a pointer, not a warranty.

The design, code, structure, written descriptions and editorial selection that make up Gymsss belong to Gymsss and are protected by copyright and related rights.

Club names, logos, brand marks and photographs belong to their respective owners and appear here to identify and describe those businesses — nominative use, not a claim of ownership and not an implied association. If you own a mark used here and object to how it appears, write to concierge@gymsss.com and we will deal with it promptly.

Nothing on this site is medical advice. Exercise carries risk, and what suits one body injures another. Talk to a qualified professional before starting or changing a training programme, and follow the instructions of the club or coach in front of you rather than something you read in a directory.

We put real work into keeping Gymsss accurate and available, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not promise the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of anything harmful.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, data or opportunity, or for loss arising from your dealings with any business listed here, from information that turned out to be out of date, or from your use of any linked site.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the total amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which, since the site is free to use, will normally be nothing. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

The site changes constantly — sections are added, listings move, whole features come and go — and these terms will change with it. The current version is always the one on this page, and the date at the top tells you when it was last revised. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the revised terms.

These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or your use of the site, are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction — save that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of your home jurisdiction.
